HackXACM
2025
About
The highlight of the year for the BVDUCOEP ACM Student Chapter was the successful organization of our flagship event, HackXACM, a 48-hour AI-themed hackathon that challenged participants to innovate, build, and showcase real-world AI solutions. Designed to ignite creativity and technical acumen among students, HackXACM served as a platform for aspiring developers and AI enthusiasts to take their ideas from concept to prototype in an intense, competitive environment.
Timeline
Round 1Idea Submission: Participants were first required to submit their ideas using a standardized PPT template that included problem definition, proposed AI-based solution, tech stack, impact analysis, and potential scalability. This phase aimed to evaluate the clarity, originality, and feasibility of ideas. We received over 40 high-quality applications from teams across various academic years and disciplines. After rigorous screening and internal review, 6 standout teams were shortlisted for the final build phase. |
Round 248-Hour Build Sprint: The shortlisted teams were given 48 hours to build functional prototypes of their proposed solutions. During this period, participants worked relentlessly, utilizing tools like Python, TensorFlow, OpenAI APIs, Flask, and more to bring their ideas to life. They were evaluated not just on execution but also on design, innovation, teamwork, and potential real-world impact. |
FINAL ROUND: On the fourth day, the event culminated in an offline presentation round, hosted at our college campus. All 6 finalist teams presented their projects before a distinguished panel of judges, including industry professionals with expertise in AI, software engineering, and product development. The panel provided valuable feedback, technical suggestions, and real-world perspectives to the teams. |
RESULTS: Following careful deliberation, two winning teams were selected:
